Drum and Barrel Pumps

Drum pumps are devices that suck fluids from drums, barrels, pails, and intermediate bulk containers. They can be hand-operated, electric-powered, or air-powered (also known as IBCs or totes). By allowing fluid to be extracted from containers that are too heavy or bulky to be tipped for pouring, they lessen the risk of spillage and limit product waste. A drum pump's intake hose or tube fits through the entrance of a container to dip into the fluid inside. The pumping mechanism of the drum pump pulls fluid in through the intake and discharges it through the outlet. To avoid harming the pump or polluting pushed fluids, the portions of the pump that come into touch with the fluids being pumped should be compatible. Drum pumps are commonly used for dispensing fuels or other fluids and transferring fluids to smaller containers in agriculture, manufacturing, sanitation, and fleet maintenance activities.
