Universal Bearing Piles, UBP, also known as: H Sections, Bearing Piles, Steel Bearing Piles, and MS Bearing Piles. Universal bearing piles are H-sections produced on a hot rolling mill- hence their name. They are essentially the same as universal column sections, except that they have uniform thickness throughout the section.
Steel bearing piles are a great pile solution to form foundations for complex structures or challenging ground conditions exist. They are ideally suited to hard driving through difficult ground conditions, including fine sand, silty sand, water bearing sands, dense sands. UBPs offer a cost-effective solution when required on rock or a similar hard surfaces. They are typically used as bridge abutment foundtations on ports and other heavy industrial applications. Bearing piles offer are considered environmental friendly as they generate no spoils arising and can be extracted and reused. UBPs are generally installed using a vibratory hammer and hydraulic impact hammer.
Universal Bearing Piles, UBP, are available in various Mild Steel (MS) material grades. Mild Steel metal is suitable for various commercial, domestic as well as industrial applications. It is malleable and versatile, comes with high strength and formability and its highly recyclable.
