Respiratory protection equipment ensures that you breathe clean air while also protecting you from dangerous gases or airborne particles. Airline filtration and CO monitors remove pollutants from the air supply and measure gas concentrations. In emergency scenarios and dusty work environments, disposable respirators and dust masks keep airborne particles out. Emergency escape breathing apparatus and escape hoods protect people from toxic air for a brief period of time, allowing them to flee a dangerous situation. Fit-testing equipment checks if a respirator fits the wearer adequately. When working in potentially hazardous areas, respirators and gas masks are used in conjunction with filtration cartridges to provide clean air. A self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) pulls high-quality breathable air from a compressed-air cylinder and delivers it to a face mask attached to it. PAPR (powered air purifying respirator) draws in ambient air and filters it before blowing it into the attached face mask.
