Speed Reducers

Speed reducers are mechanical devices that assist drive systems in maintaining the best speed and torque for the job. They are also known as gearboxes or gear drives because they reduce the input shaft's rotational speed by a given ratio while increasing the power supplied to the output shaft by the same ratio. Ratio multipliers are used in parallel installations to boost the speed reduction and torque delivered by a speed reducer by a specific ratio. Accessories for speed reducers include mounting bases, torque arms, and flange couplings. They're frequently employed in applications where the speed reducer isn't connected to the motor mechanism directly.
