Polypropylene Pipe Fittings
In fertilizer, herbicide, insecticide, wastewater, saltwater, and HVAC applications, polypropylene (PP) pressure fittings and flanges connect with pipe to deliver water and chemicals. A numbered schedule rating is assigned to pressure-rated fittings. The greater the schedule number, the thicker and stronger the wall will be to withstand higher pressures. The walls of Schedule 80 fittings are thicker than those of Schedule 40, but not as thick as those of Schedule 100. PP is a thermoplastic polymer that is lightweight and may be used in a range of applications. Impact strength, surface hardness, and abrasion resistance are all features of PP pressure fittings and flanges, which also withstand acids, alkalis, and solvent solutions. Pressure fittings and flanges made of polypropylene available in a variety of shapes and sizes.
