Bathroom Mirrors and Cabinets

Bathroom mirrors and medicine cabinets provide a reflected surface for grooming and personal care. Mirrors are usually hung over a sink on a wall. For safety and vandal resistance, glass, stainless steel, and acrylic are used in cabinet, shelf, and mirror construction. Medicine, first-aid materials, and grooming supplies are all kept in medicine cabinets. Cabinets have fixed or adjustable shelves and hinged or sliding doors. Lock boxes, attachable mirror handles, and mirror protectors are examples of cabinet and mirror attachments. In correctional and mental health facilities where antiligature or security items are needed, ligature-resistant mirrors and medicine cabinets survive damage and prevent vandalism, abuse, or the potential for self-harm or suicide.
