Washdown Motors
Wash down AC motors drive conveyors in high-humidity, wet settings where equipment must be hosed down and cleaned on a regular basis, such as in chemical, pharmaceutical, food, and beverage manufacturing. They are completely encased to protect the internal components of the motors from water or other liquids. V-ring rotating shaft seals and spring-loaded contact seals are used on the motor shafts, and the motor bearings are greased with moisture-resistant grease for additional wash down protection.
