Boring Bars

Boring bars are used to size, straighten, and finish drilled or cast holes by removing material from the interior. They attach to a toolholder on a lathe, CNC lathe, turning machine, or machining center and have a single cutting tip. While the workpiece rotates against the boring bar's cutting point, the boring bar remains motionless.
