Corner Radius End Mills
End mills with a corner radius have a square nose and slightly rounded corners to help distribute cutting forces uniformly and improve the life of the end mill. In milling applications that need a precise radius, bull-nose end mills are turned against a workpiece to generate a flat-bottomed groove with slightly rounded inside corners. To prevent harm to the end mill or the workpiece, each end mill features flutes on its cutting head that transport chips away from the workpiece. CNC and manual milling machines both employ corner-radius end mills.
