Class CC Fuses
Branch circuits, control circuits, lighting, transformers, and general loads are protected by UL Class CC fuses from overcurrents that could damage equipment, ignite fires, or inflict electrical shock injuries. They contain a rejection characteristic that permits them to be put in Class CC rejection fuse blocks and holders, which prevent the installation of midget fuses. These fuses are current-limiting fuses that disconnect circuits before they are exposed to the full magnitude and duration of an overcurrent, preventing electrical harm. UL Class fuses conform to industry-standard dimensions and electrical ratings, ensuring that fuses of the same rating can be interchanged and work as expected, independent of brand.
