Sheaves and Pulleys

When coupled with a V-belt or gearbelt, sheaves and pulleys are wheels with a flat or grooved edge that transmit rotational force from one shaft to another. Fans, pumps, and conveyors are all powered by them. Idlers keep belts under a consistent tension to prevent slippage and move them away from impediments.
