Linear Motion

Linear motion products, such as rolling elements in a raceway or guide rail, are used in conveyors and assembly activities to provide movement in a straight line. They also maintain the movement and alignment of pieces and machines. Forward or backward movement is possible, as well as vertical and horizontal movement. Actuators, ball screws, and nuts are used to transform rotational movement from a motor to straight line movement. Bearing guides, guide rails, shafts, and carriages (slides) all help to align components so that they move smoothly and precisely. Caps are applied to tiny bottles using magnetic capping devices. Sleeve bearings, as well as mounted and unmounted linear bearings, reduce frictional wear and evenly distribute loads, making them ideal for heavy loads. Screws are utilized with screw jacks, presses, and linear actuators under large loads at low-to-moderate speeds.
