Power Miter Saws
Miter saws are used to make straight, angled, and beveled cuts in wood in woodworking and construction applications. The workpiece is supported by a table as the blade is lowered to make the cut. Miter saws can be set up to cut vertical and beveled angles at the same time, which is useful for crown molding cutting. Corded saws, on the other hand, require a wired power supply and have longer run times and more power than cordless saws. When a wired power supply is unavailable, cordless saws run on one or more batteries and can be used. Miter saws with greater blade diameters are often heavier and can make broader cuts in a single pass than miter saws with lower blade diameters.
