Lubricants and Penetrants

Lubricants and penetrating lubricants create a slippery film or coating on machinery, tools, and parts to decrease wear and friction and keep equipment functioning smoothly. To reduce friction, overheating, and squeaking noises, lubricants can be applied to bearings, hinges, and other moving parts. Dry lubricants cover rollers, gears, chains, and gaskets with a dry film or powder that reduces wear and tear. Penetrating lubricants penetrate threads and other tight places to aid loosen stuck screws or bolts for removal, as well as to displace moisture and re-lubricate moving parts.
