Hammers and Striking Tools

Claw, rip, and framing hammers have a claw on one end and a cylindrical hammer on the other. Claw hammers have a more pronounced curve on the claw end to make pulling nails easier. Framing hammers feature a straighter claw that is used to pull boards apart rather than draw nails. Rip hammers, also known as rip claw hammers, are lighter than framing hammers but feature the same straight claw. Electrical hammers, tack hammers, California hammers, and concrete form hammers are all available.
