Crimping Tools

Crimpers for wires, cables, and other ductile materials are called hand crimpers. Crimping pliers, manual crimping tools, and crimpers are plier-like instruments that join two or more pieces of metal by applying pressure to bend them and force them to grip one other. Crimping points are found in the jaws of hand crimping tools. Crimping points, or dies, are interchangeable on some instruments, allowing them to perform additional purposes such as cutting. Steel cable, electrical connections and terminations, lugs, ferrules, and plugs can all be crimped with hand crimpers.
