Adhesives Sealants & Tape
A variety of materials are bonded, repaired, and protected using adhesives, tapes, and sealants. Sealing ducts, fastening cable, and performing repairs are all popular uses for duct and cloth tape. Fibers are added to filament and strapping tape to help prevent it from cracking when pushed tight. To protect surfaces and splice paper, film and masking tapes are frequently employed. Foam tape acts as an insulator between two surfaces, reducing vibration and noise. Additional reinforcement for building materials such as subflooring can be provided by industrial adhesives, epoxies, and glues. They can also be used to attach materials when fasteners aren't possible, such as in wood joinery or weather stripping.
