Hard Hat Suspensions
The section of the hard hat or helmet that rests on the wearer's head is known as the suspension. Suspensions create a space between the head gear and the head, allowing shock to be absorbed and impact power to be redirected away from the head and spine. Replacement of hard helmet suspension should be done once a year as part of routine maintenance and inspection, or sooner if the suspension exhibits signs of wear. Replacement helmet suspension should be of the same brand as the helmet.
