Beam and Steel Anchors
Steel and beam anchors are used to secure a fall arrest device to structural steel (such as an I-beam, H-beam, or pipe). They're held in place by clamps, welds, or bolts. They have a smaller footprint than conventional connectors and can be utilized in situations where the mounting point isn't completely exposed, such as anchors that clamp onto beams. When working at a height, such as when performing construction or maintenance work, fall arrest systems are employed. After being exposed to a fall, anchors should always be inspected and replaced.
