Medical Basins

Body fluids, water, and other substances are confined in medical basins to minimize spills and restrict exposure to medical waste. An emesis basin is a kidney-shaped receptacle that fits near to the body to collect bodily fluids for disposal or analysis while minimizing mess. Bowl-shaped sponge basins, also known as procedure basins or wash basins, catch water or saline solutions during wound cleansing and irrigation. They also have sponges and other medical equipment on hand for surgeries.
