Track Saws
When more precise cuts are required than can be produced by cutting along a sight line, track saws are employed. They're circular saws with a grooved base that fit into a grooved track. The track is attached to a long or wide workpiece, such as plywood or other sheet goods, and the saw is guided by the tracks to make a straight cut. Because cordless track saws are battery-powered, there are no wires to tangle or pull on the workpiece's edge. Corded track saws are more powerful than cordless track saws, and they may be operated for longer periods of time without running out of battery power.
