Power Drills

To keep the tool steady and manage the amount of pressure applied to the bit while drilling and driving, pistol-grip drills situate the user's hand behind the bit-holding chuck. When working in a variety of postures on vertical and horizontal surfaces, they enable ergonomic handling. The drill is activated by pressing the trigger switch on the pistol grip. For applications where portability isn't an issue, corded drills plug into an outlet to provide longer run periods than cordless drills. Cordless drills run on batteries, making them more portable than corded drills and allowing them to be used in situations where a wired power source is not accessible. For outdoor drilling, gas-powered drills use a gasoline engine.
