Power Tools
To execute a variety of tasks on the jobsite, power tools use an electric, battery-powered, hydraulic, or pneumatic power source. Wood, masonry, and other materials are cut with power saws. Cutting tools are used to cut workpieces to the desired size on construction sites and in manufacturing applications. Routers are power tools that cut dados, rabbets, mortises, and chamfers in wood and laminates. They can be desktop or handheld. To link workpieces, drills and drivers create holes and insert and remove fasteners. Surface and prepare wood for construction and joinery with planers, jointers, and joiners.
