Laboratory Desiccators
Desiccators in laboratories protect moisture-sensitive samples, reagents, and other things from humidity and dust. They remove and keep moisture out of items like powders, crystals, and electronic components, ensuring a dry environment. A compartment in a conventional lab desiccator holds silica gel beads or other moisture-absorbing desiccants. Vacuum desiccators contain a port for connecting a vacuum pump, allowing them to dry materials faster than non-vacuum models.
