Record Archive Storage
Multiple shelf levels in archival boltless metal shelving systems are sized to hold archive boxes for structured storage of papers, documents, and similar goods. These shelving units, also known as record-storage or archive-storage shelving, are used in offices, universities, and other institutions that deal with vast amounts of paperwork. They are easier to build than typical metal shelving units because they do not require bolts or specific tools. They are made up of vertical posts and horizontal beams attached to the posts to form shelf levels. To join the beams, rivets are inserted into holes in the posts, and the beams are tapped into position with a rubber mallet to guarantee a snug fit. Boltless shelving, also known as rivet shelving, stands on the floor and makes optimum use of vertical space in storage areas without the need to affix shelving to a wall. They work with other shelf components made by the same company.
