Greases

Greases are thicker than oil, semisolid lubricants that stay in place to keep moving parts lubricated and create a barrier against water and debris. They help equipment last longer by decreasing wear and tear caused by metal rubbing against metal. A base oil, thickeners, and additives make up lubricating greases. Their texture varies from semi-fluid (applesauce-like) to quite stiff (similar to frozen yogurt). They're employed on conveyors, machine parts, vehicle components (chassis, wheel bearings, and gears), ball bearings, and other moving parts for medium-speed, moderate-temperature applications.
