Dampers
HVAC dampers aid in the regulation and control of air flow through duct systems. In ductwork with low to medium airflow velocity, control dampers are generally placed. They can be utilized as positive shutoffs as well as for automatic control in HVAC systems with little leakage. Low-leakage control dampers with spring-assisted blades that open to allow airflow in just one direction are known as backdraft dampers. They can be utilized to vent hot exhaust from heating systems while keeping the cold air out.
