Ratcheting Wrench Sets
Ratcheting combination wrench sets include a box end design on one end of the handle and a gear system that allows the wrench to revolve freely in one direction without having to remove the wrench head from the fastener and replace it. Multiple head sizes are included in these combination wrench sets, allowing them to be utilized with a variety of fasteners. When opposed to an open-end wrench, the box end wraps around and holds the full head of the fastener for more contact and may apply more torque since the box end is less likely to slip off the fastener. The open end of the wrench gives access to the fastener from both the top and side, whereas the box end can only access a fastener from the top.
