Rescue Knives and Tools

Fixed-blade knives, as opposed to folding or retractable-blade knives, have a sharp, solid edge for cutting tougher materials. To avoid moving, the blade's base (tang) anchors onto the handle. Fixed-blade knives do not retract its blade into the knife handle, leaving it exposed.
